Some of my favorite Data Visualization Resources with more information on them

Of course, wikipedia has a great collection of resources for data visualization.
For me data visualization is more like how can I get data represented in a graph in such a way as to communicate easily what the information is supposed to show.
The other thing is to be able to analyze things that have a lot of variables in them in a fast way so as to derive conclusions about the data that prove to be useful.

just a note here about open DX, it was released as open source by IBM and is a very powerful software. Unfortunately too complicated for me, but for some programmers out there I urge you to check this one out. And when you get it working, call me!
